My name is Sam Wood I am a Senior, History Secondary Ed major with a minor in Geography. I enjoy most sports my favorite by far is baseball. Which I have played most of my life. This is my third year with the UNC Student Radio. Last year was my first year as the GM of UNCSR. Last year i had two shows my sports show with my best friend and then another ranting show. This year I dont have time to do my show but I enjoy listening to other peoples shows. I also am the camera man and commentary for the UNC Hockey broadcasts which is going on its Second season.
I enjoyed the radio so much I ran for General Manager of the radio station.(again) Becoming the new GM has been great and the station is coming along and is becoming stronger every week. My campaign included hiring more DJ’s, organizing the equipment and buy new equipment, along with just getting the name of the UNC Student Radio out there. None of this would be possible without the great staff I have helping out with the station.

Amanda Grassello is a junior and has been at the station since fall 2009. She is currently the flier girl at the station, creating fliers and other promotion whatsits on a regular basis. If you ever see a UNC radio flier around the UNC campus that was probably her doing. She has helped in several projects at the station including homecoming, training, and running the liners committee. She is glad she found the station and hopes to continue for the rest of her UNC career.
Manda has two shows, one with her roommate Annette when they talk about unimportant stuff and things that are amusing but mostly they play music of the alternative rock and indie persuasion. Manda’s other show entitled “The Ladies’ Room” is a show that features female soloists, female led bands and all-girl bands.
In her free time Manda is an anthropology major and likes to talk about it ALL THE TIME and to EVERYONE, be warned. Manda loves indie movies, Neil Gaiman and Kurt Vonnegut books, Elvis Costello and NOFX, if she could find a dude who likes these things to she would be sold on the idea of soul mates. Manda wishes she could be Veronica Mars, or at least a brunette version of her, crime solving, I mean who wouldn’t?

Nathan has been doing nerdy computer stuff since middle school. He loves photography, old school cameras, typewriters, and cannot seem to reconcile those interests with all of the websites he builds and programming he experiments with. He's responsible for making sure that your UNC Radio online experience is second to none. Take a look at his website at www.nathanerfurth.com where you can find his photography and his blog.
Nathan hosts "Feed the Goats" on Wednesdays 8-10pm with Travis, and encourages you to listen! It's great fun - satire, good music, and more satire. Expect to not finish your homework.
